PRODUCT CARE

Silver jewellery requires care to maintain its appearance and is prone to tarnishing. The speed at which tarnish develops depends on factors such as moisture levels, exposure to sulphides, and individual body chemistry. However, it's simple to keep your jewellery looking radiant by regular cleaning, and tarnish can always be removed.

To care for your jewellery, we recommend following these steps:

CLEAN IT - After wearing, wipe your jewellery with an Anti-Tarnish Polish Cloth. We include an Anti-Tarnish Polish Cloth with every piece of silver or gold jewellery we create, but it will require replacement over time.

KEEP IT DRY - Remove your jewellery before bathing, exercising, or sleeping, especially important for memorial jewellery made with resin, as water can damage these pieces. Avoid wearing jewellery while swimming, as chlorine will inevitably tarnish silver.

AVOID LOTIONS & PRODUCTS - Refrain from spraying perfume, hairspray, fake tan, or other lotions and potions directly onto your jewellery. Hand gel can also affect its condition.

STORE IT CAREFULLY - Store your jewellery in the provided box, which is acid-free and equipped with anti-tarnish properties. Avoid storing it with base metal jewellery or coins, as this can cause tarnishing.

TREAT IT KINDLY - Repeated knocks can cause wear and tear over time. To maintain your jewellery's pristine condition:

  • Avoid wearing multiple pendants together, as this can lead to surface alterations and damage fine engraving.

  • Remove all jewellery before exercising or engaging in manual activities.

  • Exercise caution when placing jewellery on hard surfaces, as precious metals are relatively soft and prone to marking.

  • Be extra careful when wearing bangles, bracelets, and rings, as they are more susceptible to damage.
